We are partnering with a fantastic global brand who are a well known organisation and have a great reputation in the market place. This global brand are looking for a specialist candidate to join their HR team and drive forward their support for their employees when in comes to Health & Wellbeing and help support that agenda and the overall people strategies.


Your new role
Working for their functions in Manchester you will be responsible for supporting a client group of approximately 3000 staff in various departments. This is a newly created role and therefor the business are looking for a candidate who have got the experience and ideas of previously setting up this function in another organisation.

The role will require you to provide end to end Occupational Health Service to the client group above which includes all head office functions. It will be your responsibility to lead all Occupational Health matters to include, but not limited to; pre-placement assessments, health screenings, health surveillance and updating relevant Wellbeing OH policies & procedures for Media City Office, and ensuring legal compliance. With your expertise and knowledge you will provide advice and guidance to HR and Managers on sickness absence, fitness for work, rehabilitation programmes, and individual case management, to promote a timely and safe return to work (leveraging and maximising utilisation of existing resources, e.g. EAP, Wellbeing Platform, Total Health Framework).

You will own responsibility for all aspects of our European Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), and ensure compliance of all relevant OH documentation, policies and procedures related to our Media City / Dublin Head Office and UK and Ireland Field Sales teams. In addition you will partner with the Total Health BERG (Business Employee Resource Group) to lead certain aspects of the Total Health / Wellbeing agenda for Media City / Dublin Head Office and UK and Ireland Field Sales teams.

You will drive the development, communication, and on-going delivery of various programmes / initiatives to up skill Managers and HR on proactive and preventative measures around all Occupational Health matters (with a specific focus on Total Health / Wellbeing / Mental Health / Psychological Safety). You will also collaborate both internally (across other UK & European Occupational Health Teams), and externally to ensure best practice sharing, stepping into relevant external partnerships, and leveraging insights to drive future focused OH activities / initiatives.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience operating as an Occupational Health Lead, ideally within a Commercial environment
  • Registered General Nurse
  • Occupational Health Degree preferable but Certificate/Diploma will be considered for the right candidate
  • NEBOSH Certificate not essential
