Payroll Controls & Compliance Head £65k + £6k car & Bonus - Surrey
A leading Property Management & Facilities firm based in the UK seek an experienced individual to head up their Payroll Controls & Compliance.
Reporting into the Director of Payroll & Pension this is a critical role for the firm to drive strategic direction of the UK Payroll and Pensions Function to ensure compliance with UK legislation, strong GDPR and data security practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the control & compliance strategy for the entire UK payroll and pensions services
- Lead on all controls and frameworks to cover risk
- Develop and maintain legislative compliance within UK payroll and pensions to ensure updates and changes are incorporated into the business and understood by all relevant parties
- Work with the Risk teams ensuring that the payroll & pensions risks and controls are maintained and followed
- Working closely with the Internal & External Audit Teams to ensure payroll & pensions are able to comply with relevant requests
- Overall owner for Audit preparation
- Working closely with Heads of Payroll & Pensions to develop long-term training and development plans to ensure teams are operating correctly and developing
- Develop KPIs and other key data for continuous improvement
- Communicate with Senior Stakeholders
- Coach and mentor others
Experience criteria:
- Team management experience and exposure
- Strong UK payroll background
- SOX or equivalent experience
- Strong Audit experience
- CIPP is preferred
- Ability to influence and take control
- Change management experience
- Must have worked in large organisations and understand what makes the tick
- Have the ability to develop, coach others "leadership" skill set
- Strong Excel
