Seeking an experienced Head of HR Operations to support an organisation for a contract until end of October

We have an opportunity for an Head of HR Operations to lead a large scale public sector organisation shared services/transactional teams for a fixed term contract until end of October, working from home.
Has a Head of HR Operations you will be a senior lead covering the operational and transactional areas in the People Directorate, comprising of payroll, pensions, recruitment and people administration.

  • Effective and efficient processes and procedures are in place to support the operational and transactional people activities being delivered.
  • The operational and transactional areas are a high performing team meeting the expectations of their customers.
  • The implementation of continuous improvements to the services provided to the customer including timeliness and quality including implementing digital solutions where appropriate.
  • Line management responsibility for the Head of Recruitment, the Head of Payroll and Pensions, the People Directorate Business Manager and Office Manager.
  • Provide the strategic oversight for all general recruitment, people administration, payroll and pensions administration and other transactional people administration related activities as required.
  • Review and develop the end to end payroll, pensions, recruitment and people administration processes and systems to best customer requirements, operational needs and best value.
  • Review and develop all transactional standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor operational services queries and feedback ensuring adequate timely response, escalation and lessons learned where appropriate.
  • Maintain a set of clear key performance indicators (KPI) to assess the effectiveness

Were seeking senior Head of HR level candidates with substantial experiences of leading large scale teams across HR transactional areas including - HR Administration, Pay/Payroll, Recruitment, pensions.
Ideally Chartered MCIPD/equivalent
Strong experience of leadership of HR Operations/Services/HR transactional Teams
Ideally experience in large scale public sector organisations such as NHS, Civil Service, Local Authorities or similar.

This role will be working from home and supporting a national organisation during a time of challenge and change. You will be covering a secondment on a fixed term contract through to the end of October.
