Description

Background and overall purpose of the role:
The primary responsibility of the role is to manage the allocation of consultants to projects.
You will manage staffing and professional development for entry-, mid-level consulting staff to
optimally match the needs of the client, firm and individual
You will work closely with HR, Recruiting and Training to ensure that the consultants' development
requirements and the expertise requirements of the project are properly taken into account.

General Duties

* Act as lead resource deployment contact for Consultant Peer Group
* Responsible for leading on staffing projects sold by Consumer sectors in UK, with the optimal mix of client-facing staff (from consultants up to and including Partner level)
* Constantly monitor available capacity vs demand and flag issues early to Global Head of Staffing for decision making
* Drive best practice across capacity planning activities and staff utilisation
* Balance the needs of the business, skills and experience requirements, availability and the development plans of the individuals, to build robust teams starting in a timely way.
* Develop and maintain an understanding of performance and needs of individual staff members via monthly catch ups to build team structures that support project requirements and employee development
* Communicate staffing and rationale to all consultants the role is responsible for
* Organise and run weekly staffing open hours for Consultants
* Organise ad hoc catch ups with consultants to ensure projects running sustainably (high hours etc.)

Attend Weekly Trading Meeting to understand network staffing requirements and provide capacity view
* Work hand in hand with rest of the network Staffing team to facilitate inter-office staffing with the international office network and ensure that utilisation is optimised.
* Deal with ad hoc staffing requests from the rest of the network as required

Profile

Background / Breadth of Experience for the Staffing Manager / Workforce Planning Manager:
* Good experience working in Staffing function for Professional Services firm
* Experience of working in multi country organisation preferable
* Excellent written and verbal English

Qualifications / Tools:
* Competent in Microsoft Office suite
* Previous experience with Retain Staffing Software / Kimble and Focalpoint desirable
