Are you a Head of Resourcing/Talent Acquisition Head ready for a move to a business which truly has the appetite to transform its end-to-end resourcing strategy?

If so, then Summer 2021 could be the time for the career move you've been waiting for.

Our confidential retained client is the UK's market leader in its specialist sector and benefits from being part of a multi-billion-dollar global business which puts its customers' needs at the heart of everything it does.

Notwithstanding the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, this is a business which has huge potential and plans for growth as we "come out the other side". In the last 18-24 months, the wider organisation has invested £millions in modernisation and has invested in leading edge technology and systems.

Attention is now turning to the modernisation of the Resourcing function.

Reporting into the Group HRD and sitting as part of a strong HR Leadership Team, we are working with them to hire a new Head of Resourcing, whose primary focus is to develop the organisation's strategic and tactical approach to the talent journey across the business' UK division which employs c6,000.

Leading a small talented team of recruiters who recruit c1,500 pa, you'll lead on all internal and external talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion and employer brand strategies. You and your team will cover the entire talent remit from apprenticeships and volume hiring through to senior executive level recruitment.

They're ready for you to bring a modern, insights driven approach, reviewing and improving current processes many of which are ripe for digitalising. You'll innovate through the enhanced use of social media and new technologies and we're looking for someone to bring some real creativity! There's a ready audience of senior stakeholders who are ready for you to bring your expertise and make your mark which can't be underestimated.

Another exciting area to lead on will be managing the tender process and subsequent implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System. No decision has been made yet, so experience of leading such a project is important.

What experience must you have?

A proven track record as an in-house Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Head within a fast-paced volume environment is crucial to this role, as is experience of senior level hiring. Ideally, you'll have in depth experience of working within the logistics, retail or hospitality sector as a large proportion of employees have similar backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will also be highly influential, commercially astute, and credible. They will be a confident, resilient and self-sufficient individual with excellent analytical skills, strong business acumen and a successful track record in leading and modernising medium sized in-house resourcing teams. They will be an excellent relationship builder with a collaborative approach and have an exceptional focus on operational excellence.

If this sounds like challenge you're ready for, then we're keen to hear from you and tell you more about this fabulous opportunity.
