Senior Payroll & Benefits Manager £100k to £120k + Bonus - City

A leading International Investment Firm based in the heart of the City are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll & Benefits Manager to head up their UK payroll offering and lead a small team of payroll professionals.

Reporting into the Head of Reward you will be a key part of their Leadership Team and look to cover all Payroll Governance and Transformation along with full development and leadership of a dedicated team.

The role on offer is as follows:

  • Full ownership of the UK Payroll & Benefits
  • Management and career development of a small team of payroll professionals
  • Develop a continuous improvement vision for the payroll process
  • Subject matter expert and responsible for all reconciliations and approvals
  • Main decision maker on UK payroll strategy
  • Provide strategic oversight for the UK payroll function
  • Ensure all legislative/contractual requirements are being met
  • Vendor management: Making sure that the service received is in line with the terms of business that have been signed and being the main point of escalation
  • Oversight of SD Worx (delivery, costs, risks, issues and developments)
  • Change: Looking to streamline processes and implement new ideas for a better customer service experience
  • Head up the firms UK P11D, PSA and Form 42 offering
  • Work closely with the Head of Reward and be involved in Reward & Wellbeing rollouts
  • Be a key part of their leadership team and have a seat at the table
  • Be responsible for all UK payroll reporting at month end/quarter end and tax year end/audit
  • Still have a finger on the pulse and a role your sleeves up attitude when needed (BAU)
  • Business partner internally and externally: HR, Reward, Benefits Team, Finance, IT and all Third Party Suppliers


  • Modern day Senior Payroll Professional who is comfortable with change, systems implementations along with benefits and reward
  • Must have had a Senior role and ideally within Financial/Professional Services
  • Team management experience but can demonstrate development and leadership qualities
  • Strong business partner internal/external
  • Payroll systems Savvy - Vendor Management
  • Strong knowledge of Benefits and Reward related topics
  • A roll your sleeves up type attitude when needed
