Morgan Philips are working with a global client in Surrey who are searching for an interim Payroll Specialist to join them for an 11 month contract.  The role will be to effectively manage and facilitate the smooth running of the company's Payroll Services across EMEA through a period of transition and creation of a centralized payroll team.  The successful candidate will have experience of projects within Payroll as well as European/ EMEA payroll skills. You will also have knowledge of SAP/ NGA/ ADP Payroll Systems.

Duties include;

  • Payroll – In partnership with Global Payroll and Time lead and HR Service Delivery Lead ensure the stabilization of new global payroll service with focus on EMEA payrolls.
  • Review and improve process and policies and ensure this new team is set up for success.
  • Review existing controls to check and confirm accuracy of payrolls to ensure compliance.
  • Guide and support the team on the way of working, dealing with issues and queries.
  • Ensure team meets key deadlines monthly.
  • Currently working with 5 payrolls for UK, Italy, NL, Czech Republic and Slovakia with timeline to transition another 28 in the next 12 months.
  • Ad-hoc supervision / guidance to team.


The successful candidate will have knowledge of SAP/NGA/ADP Payroll Systems (Northgate preferred), will ideally have EMEA experience (Netherlands payroll experience is of particular interest) with language skills, and project experience within Payroll. Experience of Payroll oversight checking and controls and experience of working with European payrolls and understanding of complexities and legal requirements is essential.  Proven compliance expertise ; to understand and comply with industry laws and relevant regulations, demonstrable examples of ability to proactively promote best practice and knowledge sharing and proven ability to influence, (appropriately) challenge and engage diverse senior stakeholders is also essential.
