My client is seeking a professional HR Advisor to join their busy team to cover a maternity contract based in Skelmersdale.
The organisation is an independent, family-owned business supplying to the food service, fast food and wholesale sectors across the UK. They operate as a national wholesale and food service distribution business and have a large warehouse on site.
Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join my client within their HR department to cover Maternity leave for 9 months.
You will be an important player in the management team and report directly to the Managing Director. The role is Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:00am - 17:00pm with flexibility.
Some of your duties will include but not limited to.
Act as first point of contact for all HR queries and requests via phone, email and in person for all employees and prospective candidates
Advise and coach managers through employee relation cases
Prepare and calculate information for the outsourced payroll provider
Facilitate the full recruitment process
Dealing with general HR administration
What you'll need to succeed
Be confident to make decisions independently
Possess a strong HR background
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills
Previous experience in a HR generalist role at a high level. A stand-alone HR advisor would suit this role perfectly
Experience collating and running a monthly payroll for employees
