HR Officer
Salary £36,000 + excellent benefits
Marylebone, London W1W - currently working remotely during Covid-19 restrictions, returning to the office when able.

Architects play a crucial role in our society, designing the buildings and environments where we live and work. The Architects Registration Board (ARB) is the professional regulator of architects. We maintain a Register to protect the public, so that anyone using an architect’s services, or having a building designed by an architect, can be reassured that the design has been developed by an appropriate expert.

Our HR Officer will support the Director of Finance and Resources, and ARB’s line managers by providing high quality HR support to effectively and proactively deliver a range of day-to-day operational HR activities.

Responsibilities will include supporting managers with the full recruitment cycle, from ensuring the efficient co-ordination of our recruitment campaigns through to the successful on-boarding of new colleagues; preparing and executing the monthly payroll and administering staff benefits; maintaining, reviewing and analysing HR data to provide bespoke HR reports. You will be expected to build strong working relationships at all levels, providing early-stage support and operational guidance to prevent escalation of employment related issues, in line with ARB policies and best practice, on a range of HR issues that may arise.

In addition, you will support the Director of Finance and Resources and Senior Leadership Group with ad-hoc projects and pieces of work such as policy reviews to ensure compliance with legislation, as required.

With CIPD level 3 and a sound knowledge of relevant employment legislation, you should have experience of coordinating recruitment campaigns.  You will have excellent organisational skills with demonstrable experience of co-ordinating a range of competing and time sensitive activities to deadlines, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.

You should have proficiency in managing and prioritising your own workload and using your initiative to deliver high-quality HR support while taking account of confidentiality and data protection.  You should have excellent communication skills, providing effective advice and guidance, and developing trusted and productive relationships with various stakeholders.

In return, we offer 27 days’ holiday per year, generous pension arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package. This post is based in our central London office, however ARB supports flexible working and will be reviewing our office working arrangements, post Covid-19 in due course.

The closing date for this opportunity is 11:00 on Monday 19 July 2021. We will contact you once short-listing has been completed to advise you of the outcome of your application.

We anticipate interviews will be held on Tuesday 3 August 2021. Depending on government restrictions this will be at ARB’s offices in central London.
