Page Personnel HR are working with a Manchester-based client to recruit an Apprenticeships Specialist on a 6 month contract. This person will manage apprenticeships in the UK, from initial selection of provider through to apprenticeship strategy and guiding post-apprenticeship development. This is varied role within an established Learning & Development department. This will be a home-based role.

Our client based in Manchester are working hard to make the world a more environmentally friendly and sustainable place. They are currently looking for an Apprenticeships Specialist who can work well under pressure, in a busy environment and add to their success. This will be a home-based role.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Apprenticeships Specialist are understanding the UK education system and Apprenticeship standards, converting business requests, helping line managers to manage their apprentices, coaching line managers regarding performance management, handling issues with providers, balancing utilisation of apprenticeship levy, lead on presentations with local and wider management, working closely with resource management and early careers to develop apprentice strategies, managing the apprenticeship levy DAS account and appropriately manage apprenticeship funding. The role is based from offices in Manchester but will be majority home-based.

Profile

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Previous experience in HR and/or L&D Consulting
  • Apprenticeship program experience
  • Previous experience in a consulting or engineering firm desirable
  • Computer literacy with MS Office and in-house systems
  • Learning management systems
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong relationship-building abilities

Job Offer

Our client offers a salary c£28-35K, 6 month FTC initially, good benefits, flexible/home-based working
