As part of the senior management group, the HR Manager has full responsibility for the Human Resources function.

Description

Responsibilities will include:

    Ability to deal with complex ER issues including TUPE, confidently and independently. To design and lead on all restructure programs including redundancies. To lead on all consultations with employees, from design through to group and individual meetings. Support managers in complex employee relations casework. To work alongside the Chief Executive and lawyers to deal through to completion on all Employment Tribunal cases. Coaching and mentoring of the Senior Management Group. To ensure all legislative requirements relating to HR, Payroll and Recruitment are in place. Develop employee engagement initiatives to increase engagement across all directorates. Design and implement engagement and involvement across the organisation, including working with the employee forum, and leading on staff surveys and ensure feedback is used to generate reflection, learning and improvement. Design and drive a people plan, working with senior management and influencing them on the best course of action in all HR matters.

Profile

Applicants should be qualified HR professionals and hold a CIPD membership at Chartered or Fellow level Demonstrable experience in a similar role and background with extensive experience at senior level Applicants with a degree in human resources or business studies discipline or equivalent experience Sound and up-to-date understanding of HR and organisational development practices, including but not limited to change management, resourcing, compensation and benefits, policy development Proficient understanding of UK employment legislation and regulations Significant and proven experience of leading and managing HR, Payroll and Recruitment functions Track record in developing and delivering HR/people strategy Experienced leader and budget holder - having operated at a senior level in comparable organisations Strong understanding of fundamental payroll processes, employment law and best practice in recruitment, people data management and reporting and employee relations
