Main Purpose and Scope of The Job

Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering and Advisory, this role will provide dedicated partnering with client groups and will work closely with departmental leaders and line managers. You will work closely with the other People and Culture colleagues. This role will have a dotted line responsibility for an HRA.

The role covers the broad spectrum of both planned and reactive HR work, and the post holder will enjoy working in a busy fast paced environment and need to have a pragmatic and solutions focused approach.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Works closely with leaders and management teams to help build organisational and people capabilities and to shape and implement effective HR strategies and programmes, operate as the trusted advisor on people issues and queries
Work closely with the Head of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion to embed inclusiveness and diversity
Working with the Head of Organisation Development, as required, to find enabling solutions for culture change and learning'.
Operate as the primary contact between HR and the business, providing the 'voice of the customer' to inform HR priorities and the design of new HR initiatives, policies and processes
Support the design and roll out of HR initiatives to the business area
Uses data to drive better people decisions, and delivering a portfolio of business relevant solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organisation
Champions the use of the HR technology as the primary HR system and data source
Identify and develop succession planning and talent within the organisation
Ensure HR policies and processes are used and managed effectively within the business
Coach, mentor, and guide managers and colleagues on good people management, develop manager capability and drive a high-performance culture
Manage complex ER cases
Responsible for the effective provision of HR services to the business - liaise with the Centre of Excellence and HR Operations as required to address service issues
Uses internal and external knowledge to resolve complex issues, owning the conversation and sharing best practice
Delegate and manage the work of the HRA's including ongoing support and development.

Experience, Qualifications & Knowledge

Experience of providing both operational and strategic HR support to a business
Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and its interpretation
CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
