Description

Role Summary

The role of the Strategic HR Business Partner will bring long term focus to the HR strategy across the business. The role will support the Group MD and 2 business leadership teams to shape and drive HR, People and Culture Strategy across the portfolio, supporting the long term growth and performance of the business. The Strategic HR Business Partner will be a central player in business transformation, workforce shaping/planning, talent strategy and bringing leadership support and coaching to their dedicated leadership teams.

As a Strategic HR Business Partner, this role will exist to ensure we have the right conditions in place to develop and release the potential of our leaders and their senior leadership teams. We are there to challenge and support in equal amount; to help strategically shape the future organisation to deliver the growth and performance outcomes of the business.

This role will sit on relevant Senior Leadership teams of the portfolio and will also be a leadership role to HRBP's within the team, either directly or on a dotted basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the VP Human Resources to support in the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively shape the succession planning for the business and know the talent within it to shape the talent priorities for key individuals and in line with the future skills and capabilities needed to drive performance.
  • This role is an agile, connected and accountable partner to the respective leadership teams.
  • Shape the culture to build an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone can thrive
  • This role will have a global multi business unit focus, but the opportunity to partner and network with the HR in country model and fellow HR Business Partner's.
  • Foster excellent relationships with business leaders and becoming a trusted executive partner, coach, thinking partner and invaluable member of their leadership teams
  • Maintain an intimate knowledge of the business strategy to enable the people requirements of the client group
  • Actively manage relationships to ensure critical business issues are anticipated, prioritised and effectively met by fit for purpose solutions
  • Own workforce plans and support leadership to identify, assess and develop talent for the future
  • Partner with business leaders to create and sustain high performing teams
  • Support business wide programs and initiatives in order to drive continuous improvement
  • Manage HRBP(s) in line with the processes and practices across the business to ensure the consistent delivery of the employee experience across the portfolio

Profile

Experience for the Senior HR Business Partner:

  • A track record as an HRBP translating vision, strategies and business requirements into clear, actionable goals
  • Experience within a global matrix organisation
  • Global experience is key
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions
  • A trusted coach and advisor with an independent voice that can challenge and drive the business forward in the right way
  • Delivery of excellent results and outcomes against strategic aims
  • Ability to interpret and use data to solve complex problems
  • The ability to build successful, collaborative relationships quickly with your HR colleagues and the wider organisation
  • Exceptional influencing and communication skills: able to be articulate, compelling, engaging and work in an inclusive manner
  • Commercial acumen and broad business understanding to ensure return on investment and value to business stakeholders
  • Comfort in providing feedback, both positive and developmental
  • Competence in balancing strategic work with a willingness to focus on hands business support.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence across a highly matrixed organisation.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in an HR related field or equivalent through experience
