This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our clients Human Resources Team into the 'new normal'. Their HR Team is responsible for devising, creating and administering the policies which are built to support their most important asset: their people! As Head of HR, you will be a key member of the leadership team, taking the lead role in ensuring they remain able to attract, retain and develop outstanding talent. You will ensure the leadership strategy is executed in order to meet the business priorities in their rapidly-changing industry, you will manage change and will inspire people. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR Team and will support senior stakeholders at all level of the business as a true confidant and business partner. You will have a dedication to succession planning and talent management, and will ooze the qualities one needs to make 'life good'.

  • Partner with and advise line managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, talent management, development and employee relations
  • Partner with line managers to ensure that all business units in the region are fully compliant with HR, legal and company requirements
  • Act as a business partner, diagnosing issues, identifying needs and providing creative, commercial solutions in line with business objectives
  • Identify and assess HR issues which need to be brought to the attention of the rest of the HR team, and act upon them as necessary; assigning responsibilities among the team accordingly
  • Take a proactive role in suggesting ideas and creating new procedures to ensure the continued improvement and development of the HR function, driving business success through service excellence
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships both internally and externally in order to support the needs of the business; including at the most senior levels of the business (including Europe and Global HQ)
  • Ensure line managers (including senior management) understand, communicate and adhere to HR policies and procedures
  • Lead, motivate, inspire and develop direct reports while providing an excellent example to the rest of the HR team and the wider organisation
  • Work with line managers to recruit, train, and develop staff ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified and appropriate employees
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to line managers as required
  • Ensure all employee relations issues are dealt with in an effective manner, partnering with line managers when necessary. This includes conducting disciplinary meetings, termination meetings
  • Provide reliable and trusted employment law advice. Liaise with internal and external legal counsel where appropriate
  • Responsible for providing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting as required by local top management, Europe and Global HQ
  • Monitor the legal and business environment across the region to keep processes and practices relevant and up to date
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team both in the region and globally, to ensure consistency across the business


Skills, Education & Experience

  • CIPD qualified (preferred)
  • Extensive recruitment and talent management experience
  • Organisational skills couple with the ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly
  • Data-driven: able to quickly interpret data and hypothesise accordingly
  • Outstanding communication skills : comfortable influencing, negotiating and mediating where needed
  • Culturally sensitive; experience working in global organisations
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Commercially aware: unafraid of spending time in amongst a complex business, learning what the unique expectations and needs of each area are
  • Fast learner, resilient, straight-talking and capable of working in a fast-changing and highly pressurised environment
