Assist the HR Manager to provide a first class, business focused operational HR service, providing advice and support, managing employee relations cases, recruitment and selection and job evaluation for all practice areas and support groups.

Description

HR:

  • Ensure all employee documentation is obtained upon employment and maintained throughout the employee's life cycle
  • Assist with coaching Managers through HR related issues
  • Conduct first day inductions for new joiners
  • Completing the probationary reviews for staff and advising line managers on any necessary action arising from performance or conduct issues
  • Conduct exit interviews with leavers
  • Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies
  • Informing employees of their benefits and entitlements
  • Handling HR matters reliably and in accordance with legal requirements
  • Supporting the HR manager with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
  • Organise and manage all aspects of maternity, paternity, adoption, parental and unpaid leave
  • Partnering with line managers to review employee relations, performance management, resourcing, and staff management

Payroll:

    Process payroll end to end when the payroll manager is on holiday or away from the officeProcess overtimeProcess fines for fleetUpdate tax codesProcess other ad hoc payments i.e., bonus, pay reviews and long-term service awardsProcess salary sacrifice payments and deductions of earningsProcess starters and leaversProcess all statutory paymentsSend all payslips via e-mailDeal with auto enrolment i.e., new starters, leavers and uploading payments details to the portalUploading salary payments to the bank

Profile

  • CIPD 5 qualification
  • Must have previous experience in a HR position
  • Must have experience processing end to end payroll
  • Proficient with Excel and Word
  • Experience using Sage is advantageous
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
