My client are a Digital Marketing Organisation based in London; due to a restructure they are now looking to hire a Head of Talent Acquisition to lead the team across the UK and Ireland. Reporting into the Head of Talent Acquisition, EMEA, the individual will be accountable for delivering the strategic hiring objectives in these markets.

This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about the industry landscape. You will bring strong experience of managing and leading a recruiting team in a matrix organisation with exceptional relationship building skills at the senior exec level.

Key duties/responsibilities:

  • Inspire, motivate, enable and lead a large team of recruiters to deliver best in class talent to the business for both Early Careers and Experienced Hires through a direct hiring model; the current model is a blend of inhouse efforts and an RPO model and solid leadership will be required across both approaches
  • Carefully monitor the delivery of the function through robust planning, reporting and advanced analytics to ensure the delivery of talent matches the business needs
  • Regularly engage with the UK&I Senior Leadership Team to ensure talent strategies connect to supply and demand
  • Grow a close working relationship with EMEA Head of Talent Acquisition and EMEA Business leads to ensure that the hiring strategy is connected
  • Create a hiring strategy directly translated from business objectives that is fit for purpose in market and that allows a competitive edge to acquiring talent
  • Effectively manage supply and demand identifying hot skills and skill shortages to create a hiring strategy to meet demand
  • Engage with Resource Management to understand the hiring plan and forecast to enable an 'ahead of the curve' approach to sourcing and building talent pipelines
  • Maintain strong knowledge on market conditions, competitor activity and brand positioning with ability to present a clear and concise point of view and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Be the escalation point for market specific issues with ability to problem solve and provide solutions quickly and effectively
  • Play an active role in developing the EVP and recruitment marketing collateral ensuring that the external branding is appealing and attractive in the marketplace
  • Ensure that a DEI lens is applied at all times, connecting the hiring strategy to ensure you deliver against the DEI ambitions
  • Play an active part in enabling internal mobility ensuring people feel that they are enabled and encouraged to advance their career in our Group
  • Own sourcing channels with regular reviews to ensure they enable recruiters to hunt for the best available talent quickly including management of our PSL
  • Ensure that the hiring process in harmonized with both the approvals process and the onboarding process to enable our incoming talent to land in the business quickly
  • Full focus on candidate experience ensuring our process allows us to be an employer of choice in the industry running faster than competitors in a market where there is a war for talent
  • Ensure cleanliness of data for reporting purposes and compliance with GDPR

Key experience/skills:

  • Experience of managing a large recruitment team within the Media sector
  • Experience working in a large matrix organisation
  • Experience of leading an RPO solution with full accountability for the delivery against the SLA
  • Good working knowledge of an ATS (SmartRecruiters preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to design visual BI dashboards to aid reporting, working closely with dedicated analytics resource to build
  • Experience of building an EVP
  • Proven experience of developing Exec level relationships with the ability to connect hiring strategies to business objectives at a high level
  • Demonstrable experience of building a strong collaboration between Talent and HR
  • Excellent appreciation of GDPR and local data laws
