HR Consultant - 12 month FTC - South Yorkshire company - mainly home/remote working. Circa £40000 plus bens

Your new role
This role is to cover for a maternity leave - starting anytime from August to September for a hand over period- until end of October 2022.

Reporting to the Head of HR of the group, your role will be generalist in nature - supporting Line Managers/stakeholders across 4 sites in Yorkshire - but manly working from home.

You will be primarily responsible for the provision of a professional, commercial and business driven HR service to the businesses within a complex operational situations. This will include all areas or ER from absence management, performance management, investigation, disciplinary & grievances, appeals etc. Supporting Line Managers with a varied degree of HR and management knowledge and skill.

You will also provide support and lead on relevant change, restructure and integration projects and programmes. In addition you may get the opportunity to support the HR Business Partner with all cyclical HR activity including succession planning, talent management, pay and bonus, etc.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have a solid background in generalist HR activities, CIPD Level 5 qualification as a minimum (or suitably equivalent level of experience) and ideally experience within complex or matrix organisations.
Be able to commit to the 1 year FTC
Ideally live within 1 hour of South Yorkshire/West Yorkshire border - as this is a remote/at home role - but periodic travel to the 4 Yorkshire sites maybe required.


What you'll get in return
Flexible working options available - this is a 37.5 hour / 5 days a week role but flexibility could be accommodated - such as 32+hours in 4 days, or change to the 9am to 5.30pm working pattern
REMOTE/at home working - but ideally live within 1 hour of South Yorkshire/West Yorkshire border
