ER Advisor Job- 6 Month FTC - Fintech Business

Oakleaf are working with a Prestigious Fintech Company based in the central London who are looking for an ER advisor to join their team. Reporting to the ER manager you will provide advisory and employee relations case management support to HR and Line Managers. You will also partner with HR colleagues in Centres of Expertise and HR Operations to resolve ER cases, deliver solutions that meet desired business outcomes, minimises risk, and upholds the values of the organisation.

The role is initially on a 6-month FTC basis with the view to go on longer. Paying between 40-50,000 based on experience.

What you will be doing in this ER Advisor - 6 Month FTC - Fintech Business:

• To act as first point of contact for ER queries.
• Advises and manages the end to end process for allocated ER cases, focussing on performance and absence management.
• Conduct research for policy development and develop the first draft of global people policies.
• Managing staff exits from the business.
• Advises managers on policy in line with current legislation and drives consistent application of policy and procedure, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Champions areas of expertise, keeping wider HR team up to date with changes in best practice, statutory changes and process improvement
• Input and maintain record of cases within case management system.

What you Need for this ER Advisor Job - 6 Month FTC - Fintech Business:

• Experience of independently managing employee relations cases, with demonstrated behaviours and approach that model the organisational values.
• An understanding of UK employment law and its practical application to facilitate achievement of business outcomes.
• Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience.
• Influencing and negotiation skills, whilst demonstrating the ability to build good working relationships with business and HR stakeholders.
• Planning and prioritising with ability to adapt as required by business need.
• Challenging behaviours appropriately in order to move situation forward positively.
• Preferred:
• Working with internal and external legal counsel.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with ability to manipulate spreadsheets to model different scenarios.
• Confidence with Powerpoint and presenting to diverse audiences.
• CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification.
• Background in financial services is highly desirable
