Information Rights and Assurance Manager

Your new role

This is a temporary position whilst the company recruits on a permanent basis. You will be managing a team of 6 direct reports, whilst you report into the Head of Information Assurance and Complaints. This isn't a 'Call-Centre' complaints role and would be suited to a Customer Service/Complaints/Customer Care Manager who has experience in a regulated environment. Your team will be responsible for the investigation of the Grants complaints via email and reporting back to you and ensuring a resolution is delivered to the customer.

Day to day you will be: The Point of escalation for any complex complaints and cases Ensuring complaints and SLA's are being met by complaints team and the wider business Overall responsibility and will lead on the approach in the initial delivery of the complaints function in line with the high expectations of colleagues and customers Manage and cover some other relevant areas of work, being proactive and using initiative Delegating out workload to team and direct line management duties, such as sickness, performance management Reporting back to the wider organisation to provide analysis, address and follow up on key areas of improvements

What you'll need to succeed

Experience Required: A proven track record of resolution of complaints and customer care Ability to read companies policies, adhere to strict relegations Working within the Government funded grants, you will ideally have a background working in either Grants or a public sector, not for profit organisation Ability to report back trends and provide actions for continuous improvement Excellent internal and external stakeholder management Ability to solve complex problems, thinking strategically and with risk in mind Experience of working closely with senior strategic roles, to influence future decisions and contribute to shaping process/policy where there is scope to do so Good understanding of information management and data legislation, particularly the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations and General Data Protection Regulations. Be familiar with variety of contracting documents (Grant funding Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, Deeds of Variation for example) ideally in a public sector setting. Experience of drafting and amending contract templates recognising style, complexity and formatting.
