Payroll Control & Audit Specialist £60k to £65k + £6k car & bonus - Surrey
A leading Property & Facilities firm based in Surrey seek an experienced Payroll Control & Audit Specialist to work alongside their Director of Payroll & Pensions and be the lead on all auditing, controls and framework design to combat risk.
This is a key hire for the firm and a newly created role, so for the right individual it really offers a true blank canvass and an opportunity for someone to move away from a day to day BAU role.
The role:
- Develop and maintain controls and frameworks for the UK Payroll & Pensions Services
- Develop and maintain legislative compliance for the UK Payroll & Pensions Services through updates and changes and making sure that teams fully understand these
- Working closely with the firms Risk Team making sure that "Risks and Controls Matrix" are maintained and followed through
- Working closely with the Internal & External Audit Teams
- Be the overall owner for Audit preparation and notification to the BAU Ops Teams
- Work closely with the Head of Payroll & Pensions making sure that all training and development for the teams is up to date and relevant
- Putting in place regular reviews to avoid issue escalations
- Working closely with the Head of Payroll & Pensions to drive continuous improvement
Experience:
- Strong Payroll experience and exposure
- Must have a payroll audit and enquisitive mindset
- Ideally have experience in Controls and Frameworks to cover Risk
- Must have worked in a large volume payroll organisation
- Stong communications skill set both internal/external
- Strong business partner and be able to push back with Senior Stakeholders
