I'm looking for a Band 7, Human Resources Business Partner to start on the 16th August for a period of up to 3 months. This position will be based at Park House at York Hospital with remote working possible once they have been inducted.

Description

Support the Workforce Lead / Head of Employee Relations & Engagement, adding value through achieving organisational objectives and delivering the Workforce & Organisational Development Strategy.

In addition to being the operational HR lead for the designated service, contribute to the workforce strategy and business planning process - providing professional, customer-focused advice and support to managers and staff across the Care Group/Corporate Service/in the identification, improvement and management of workforce issues.

You will also provide guidance and support to the wider Assistant HR Business Partner & HR Advisor team within HR.

Profile

The ideal candidate will be available to start on 16th August and have the following experience:

  • NHS experience ideal but not essential
  • Demonstrable experience as a HR specialist in a complex multi professional organisation

  • Significant experience of effectively dealing with complex employee relations issues including dismissals, organisational change and TUPE

  • Experience of trade union partnership working (up to regional level) in a complex organisation (public sector desirable)

  • Knowledge of current employment law and HR good practice, and ability to translate into practice

  • Experience of dealing with staff groups with complex terms and conditions of service

  • Understanding and experience using workforce metrics to direct workforce plans and priorities

  • Previous experience of effectively managing a team

  • CIPD Level 7 or working towards
  • Policy Development & Implementation

Job Offer

Temporary contract based on £38,000 - £43,000 depending on experience.
