HR Advisor 3-month FTC for leading FMCG company in Spalding

Your new company
Hays are proud to be working with a leading FMCG company based in Spalding who are looking to recruit a People Advisor into their team on 3-month FTC basis as their People team grows. This is a great opportunity to be part of an incredible People journey!


Your new role
As the People Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the business and wider People Team but acting as the first point of contact for all People queries, as well as promoting and delivering a great HR experience. You will be supporting key stakeholders by providing expert support and guidance to Supervisors and Team Leaders on all aspects of employment law, as well as coaching and building the skill set of the line manager capability. You will support a volume of people activity across two sites and will provide assistance support outside of usual office hours.

Your responsibilities will include absence management and providing support on disciplinary cases. You will work closely with the site People partner and liaises with People Services and L&D in order to support the development of on site KPIs and reporting. You will support the onboarding processes for new starters as well as supporting the delivery of the current projects.


What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you will have proven experience of ER casework, ideally gained within a similar role preferably in an FMCG environment. You will have full understanding of employment law and best practice, as well as providing advice and coaching on HR issues to managers on all aspects of HR policy and legal issues. You will also have experience of providing day to-day HR support to line managers in a large, multi-site and multi- functional organisation. You will be good at interpreting data and developing MI packs from reports.

You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as demonstrable ability to multitask, work on your own initiative, work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will also have excellent problem-solving skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach.
