Job Details


A newly created L&D Business Partner role is available within the learning and development team of a successful City law firm. Supporting the Senior L&D Manager, this role designs, delivers and deploys learning and training programmes for fee earners, with the support of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a suite of development programmes as well as development centres and regular firm-wide initiatives
  • Providing professional development advice on development approaches and initiatives to achieve business objectives
  • Full responsibility for solicitor development programmes including programme review and development
  • Re-design and delivery of training to legal and non legal populations across the firm as required
  • Act as the digital training lead within the team, using proven digital learning expertise to evolve how L&D is delivered across the firm
  • Work closely with the Senior L&D Manager to design and execute a digital learning strategy
  • Ensuring the effective use of the learning management system to support delivery of digital learning
  • Selecting, commissioning and reviewing new suppliers. Building and maintaining existing relationships with suppliers to ensure effective design and delivery of solutions
  • Coaching employees 1:1 on development areas as part of the internal coaching faculty
  • Line management of the L&D Assistant

Requirements

  • Solid track record working as a manager in a busy learning and development role within professional or financial services
  • Significant experience with digital learning including delivery of standalone digital programmes and blended programmes
  • Designing learning content and delivering training in a variety of contexts (including virtual and face to face) aimed at different levels within an organisation
  • Experience consulting with stakeholders to define development needs and recommend suitable and effective solutions (not limited to training courses)
  • Experience managing projects
  • Coaching experience
  • Experience managing or supervising others
