Job Details

Your new company
I am partnering exclusively with a market leading manufacturing specialist that has provided an invaluable service to its clients for over 200 years. To keep their UK pole position, the owners have invested over £20M into the business and have an impressive EBITDA. They have a strong order book and have also recruited an additional 90 employees this year, so far. This dynamic and evolving company is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead their HR function and to partner with their management team supporting 850 employees.

Your new role
Within your new role you'll be part of the senior leadership team, directly reporting to the CEO, and managing both the HR Coordinator and HR Administrator. You'll be supporting various teams and senior stakeholders with HR advice, conducting performance management evaluations, and advising managers on ER issues and L&D activity. Amongst other responsibilities, you'll also be developing recommendations for the improvement of the organisations HR policies through your research and understanding of top industry trends. Alongside the operational elements of the role you will partner with the owners and CEO in devising, shaping, and delivering a robust people strategy. Some of the key focus areas will include sourcing and implementing an HRIS, introducing pay bandings, implementing performance management measures, and embedding these into their culture. You will also review how they can attract and retain the best talent, and build on the wellbeing initiatives they already have in place.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced, CIPD qualified (or equivalent) HR Manager with broad generalist experience and good business acumen. You will be comfortable with autonomy, be clear on your own values, consistent, honest, transparent, and confident in your delivery. With a focus on ROI, commercialism is imperative, as is being an inspirational leader and coach. My client are open to any sector background but experience of manufacturing and/or working with Unions would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return
This is a site-based role Monday-Friday 8.30 - 5pm, although flexible working arrangements are available. You'll be offered a competitive salary, 26 days holiday, life assurance, contributory pension and study support if applicable.
