Ashley Kate are delighted to be partnering with a leading manufacturer who are looking for a highly skilled and talented HR Manager. They have been in business for many years and have a workforce of circa 500 people. As a business they are well established in their field; forward thinking and committed to supporting you and your career.

This is a fast paced environment and so ideally you will have a background and knowledge in a similar Manufacturing or a similar blue collar environment.

This is an essential role to the company which involves the operational management for the HR and L&D functions as well as developing and delivering the HR and L&D strategy.

The key areas will include -
·Lead the full HR function and manage a team of 3
Deliver improvements to the Company infrastructure and employee life-cycle.
·Develop, maintain and implement HR and L&D policies, processes and procedures.
·Provide advice and guidance to Directors, managers and employees on all HR, L&D and employee relations issues and policies.
·Act as the key interface with local trade union representatives and the ICF, building working relationships between the union and the Company.
·Manage the pay and reward structure, ensuring compliance with all payroll requirements and legislation.
·Develop people plans with line managers to ensure each area is equipped to deliver business results.
·Promote and encourage an environment focused on delivering a world-class service.

Essential experience -

•Generalist HR Management experience - must have previously worked in a role that has responsibility for the full HR spectrum. Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
•Experience of working with a recognised Trade Union
•Strong organisational skills to handle high volumes of work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while maintaining excellent delivery and quality performance.
•Proven oral and written communications skills to convey information clearly and effectively.
