A great opportunity as L&D Manager to set up an L&D function from scratch, implementing L&D processes and practices, as well as designing, developing and delivering L&D solutions. In addition, group-wide initiatives will include building competency frameworks, early career development, succession planning, and management and leadership development.
You will need to have set up an L&D function from ground up previously.

Description

As the Learning and Development Manager for this specialist healthcare services company in Marlow, your remit will be to build an L&D function from ground up. This will include:

  • Implementing L&D processes and practices.
  • Designing, developing and delivering L&D solutions aligned to talent development strategy, values and business/operational needs.
  • Facilitating courses and programs.
  • Engaging, negotiating and managing external suppliers.
  • Creating and facilitating workshops, webinars and presentations for a wide range of audiences.
  • Facilitates and oversees management and leadership development activity.
  • Managing compliance and mandatory training.
  • Manages Learning Management System and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure effective utilisation of platform.
  • Provides expertise and supports content and delivery of projects including Career Path Framework.
  • Budget management of training and development programmes within Practice.
  • Provides regular data reporting and insights to stakeholders and team on learning and development.
  • Collaborates, partners and provides L&D expertise within HR team on projects and initiatives.
  • Supporting leadership and HR colleagues on succession planning.
  • Develop material and communication aligned to OH branding and values.
  • Evaluating internal and external courses delivered to maintain high impact and continuous improvement.
  • Managing employee appraisal/review process.

This role is primarily home-based with the expectation to go into the office as and when required.

Profile

To apply for the role of Learning and Development Manager in Marlow, your profile will closely match:

  • You will have recently/previously set up an L&D function from scratch, implementing L&D processes and practices, as well as designing, developing and delivering L&D solutions.
  • Significant experience within L&D including knowledge of competency frameworks, early career development, succession planning, and management and leadership development.
  • Have a background in a fast-paced, global organisation preferable within a high-growth agency or healthcare/Life Sciences environment.
  • Excellent experience in Leadership Development and Management Training.
  • Able to develop a deep understanding of stakeholder and organisation needs and implementing this in ongoing L&D solutions.
  • Able to use a wide range of L&D methodologies and approaches.
  • Wants to influence and build a culture which supports learning, development and employee engagement.
  • Adaptable to delivering and engaging with stakeholders and team members in various locations and countries.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management with a partnership approach.
  • Strong knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
  • High proficiency in Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Expertise in L&D data reporting, insights and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation.
  • Change management experience.
  • Professional certifications in field is desirable.
  • A brand and culture ambassador.
  • An expert in managing L&D cost and time efficiently and impactfully.
  • Able to demonstrate strong L&D data and insights to the organisation.

This role is primarily home-based with the expectation to go into the office as and when required.
