Data and Market Intelligence

£80,000 - £85,000

Oakleaf are working on an exciting Head of HR role for a Data and Market Intelligence business based in Central London. This role is a critical partner to the CEO and Leadership team. As the Head of HR you will supervise an HR team of two who provide support for approximately 140 people across Europe, the US and Asia. The successful candidate will have a background in aligning business objectives to HR solutions. In addition, they will have previously demonstrated the ability to scale deliverables, lead business units through change and be self-driven to develop a credible, longer-term people plan while also driving tactical execution.

Key duties/responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CEO to understand key people and organisational ambitions, particularly relating to people capability, organisational design and culture
  • Define and implement the overall people plan for the business area
  • Act as a key member of the leadership team, role model positive behaviours and contribute to the development of the business strategy
  • Coach senior management on how to drive the effectiveness of their organisation and the performance of their people
  • Partnering with senior managers to identify business led solutions that deliver commercial performance
  • Work with the divisional CHRO to develop and deliver the divisional HR strategy
  • Collaborate and liaise with central HR to align divisional processes and practices with the central HR approach
  • Contribute / lead on project activity as appropriate (e.g. Reward alignment, alignment of people policies, talent management, setting up and maintaining HR metrics and reporting, etc.)
  • Support in managing organisational changes, redundancy processes, change and implementation planning
  • Support managers with recruitment and the embedding of good practice
  • Provide a coaching and advisory service on HR policy and procedures as a secondary contact point and in support of the HR Operations team
  • Employee relations and case management

Key experience/skills:

  • Experience of working as a Senior HR Business Partner/Head of HR in a fast-paced service led, B2C or B2B organisation such as Events, Media, Hospitality or Professional Services
  • Experience partnering with a business leadership team and contributing to their strategy through the people plan; with an understanding of key business drivers and working in partnership with leaders to measurably improve people management practices
  • Experience in the delivery of people change programmes
  • Has worked in a commercial business environment and understands the commercial drivers and pressures that dictate the pace and decision-making process
  • Experience of implementing new ways of working within a business area
  • Experience in coaching leaders and managers to bring out their best in their teams to strive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to think laterally, demonstrating business acumen, with sound judgement, problem solving and prioritisation skills
  • Experience in a global environment, working with a dispersed client group
