Interim HR Assistant - Remote

Your new company

Working within a developing public sector and changing HR service, you will be responsible for working within a remote based opportunity on a 3 month contract opportunity supporting the HR function.

Your new role

  • Operate and maintain efficient and effective administrative procedures, practices, case management and information systems within the Human Resources Team.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the HR and Payroll system.
  • Be able to administer changes both through the 'My Team changes' process and to manually amend employee's records on the system.
  • Be able to answer queries from employees and managers on using the Employee/Manager interface (My View) including annual leave, employee changes and processes.
  • Log calls with the service provider to enable issues to be fixed about the HR and Payroll system. Ensuring that contracts are not breached and the correct payments of salaries, by being responsible for the administration of FTC's, probation, change of conditions and all other employee and service changes.
  • Providing support and advice to ensure these are correctly signed off and processed by the deadline. Writing and issuing Written Statement of, offer letters and variations to contracts, ensuring they are accurate and provided within required time-frame.
  • Therefore, keeping sound knowledge on any HR or legal changes is essential.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of electronic and manual systems these include the HR G Drive, HR Payroll System, email boxes and OHIO.
  • Undertake all administration duties associated with recruitment including liaising with and advising recruiting managers, obtaining the necessary approvals to fill vacancies, placing advertisements, preparing invite letters and associated documentation, liaising with applicants, obtaining references, checking eligibility to work in the UK and collation of data for monitoring purposes.
  • Be the first point of contact for advice and / or queries from staff and members of the public, both via telephone and face to face, on HR policies, practices and procedures.
