L&D Specialist based in Essex £45,000

Your new company
As L&D Specialist you will operate as an integral member of the L&D team and will be responsible for a variety of L&D areas including: learning needs analysis, sourcing & organising training, elearning design, facilitation, use and promotion of the learning management system and learning experience platform.

Your new role

• Leverage learning management systems and learning experience platform expertise to increase usage, improve the customer experience and conduct reporting and analysis
• Develop and improve online courses and digital learning resources using tools such as Camtasia and Captivate
• Work with customers as a credible and trusted partner, analyse issues and requirements, recommend and deliver tailored solutions, engaging suppliers and SMEs
• Introduce innovations and 'experiments' and leverage tech to ensure modernising, simplifying and disrupting our service
• Collaborate with customer groups to further develop 'leading by teaching' initiatives for our learning event series
• Ensure learning programmes are relevant, high quality and aligned to business priorities
• Create and issue regular learning communications which inspire employees to engage with content and apply key lessons
• Manage induction and the on-boarding experience for new hires
• Facilitate learning activities in a way that encourages learning and change
• Monitor quality and effectiveness of L&D provision from suppliers and internal resources and recommend improvements as appropriate
• Work closely with European locations to address issues and enhance the pan-European L&D offering
• Collaborate with colleagues globally to leverage synergies and deliver ongoing improvements and innovations
• Support L&D team and wider HR function with other related tasks as required

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience managing Learning & Development programmes
• Proven experience of delivering successful projects and the tenacity to deliver impactful change
• An efficient and organised approach to work
• Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team and on own initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Engaging, facilitative style
• Able to influence and consult with customers and suppliers at all levels
• Curious mindset, open to new ideas and ways of working, works in an agile and flexible way
• Technologically-minded and able to leverage L&D systems to improve the customer experience
• Integrity and ability to maintain high levels of confidentially as part of HR team
