Ashley Kate HR and finance are please to be partnering with a well established engineering business who are looking for an experience Payroll Administrator.
You will be joining a well established HR team however the ability to work autonomously and pro actively is essential. This is a true generalist HR role so every day is different however you must be comfortable managing an end to end recruitment process as this is a large part of the role. You will also need to be comfortable working on HR systems, inputting payroll data and be someone who can pull figures and analytics and present this data in an accurate and meaningful way.
Payroll / HR Administrator – The Person
A proven Payroll administration background is essential and experience on SAGE 50
You must have supported recruitment processes end to end from writing job specification through to on boarding
Own the new starter on boarding process and complete all required administration from offer stage to final actions ensuring a smooth and positive on boarding experience for all starters.
Provide first line advice to employees and managers on HR policy and procedures with support from the HR team.
Continuously review the HR administration and other processes to ensure they are effective and efficient, making recommendations for improvements.
Input of data for multiple payrolls.
Maintaining a computerised payroll system.
Responding to day-to-day queries.
Payroll related calculations i.e. overtime, bonus, and shifts.
Knowledge of SSP/ SMP/ PAYE/ NI/ current payroll legislation.
Returns to Government/ Head Office and other third parties.
Balancing accounts to General Ledger.
Liaising with HR and Pension Administrators.
Management of employee benefits such as private health insurance.
This role will be based on site in Ilkeston
