Life Science Training Specialist for pharma company in Cambridge, £230 PAYE/£300 UMB, 12-month contract

Hays are proud to be working with a leading global pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Cambridge who are looking to a recruit a Training Specialist.

Your new role
As the Training Specialist you will be supporting the organisation of instructor-led training courses offered by the R&D Data Science Learning & Development Team (DS&AI). You will contribute to the development of training materials for online and in person training and conduct technical training where/if appropriate. Additionally, you will be involved in supporting the company trainers' community, running training needs analysis, developing training solutions to address training gaps and training course evaluation.

Conducting basic training and induction courses as the main function of their job. In a large geography will be responsible for conducting and organising training courses (unlikely to include senior management training), induction courses. Alternatively, in diverse geographies may be involved in course coordination and resourcing provision for all training needs. May also be involved in training needs analysis and the identification/evaluation of external courses


What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate will have a degree in life sciences or computer science. You will be familiar with using data science approaches to solve biological problems and have experience in training other researchers to use data science tools and/or the development of training materials or documentation. You will work well as part of a team and able to work to tight deadlines is essential. You will be highly self-motivated with excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a competitive remuneration of £230 a day PAYE/£300 UMB for the 12-month contract. Currently working remotely but potentially 3 days onsite in Cambridge once return to work policies are in place.
