Are you an experienced HR professional who is passionate about Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion?
Ashley Kate are recruiting a permanent HR Manager for our client based in Leicester with a salary of £45,000!
The HR Manager will report to the Finance Director and work closely with the Chief Executive and Board. The HR Manager will lead the People and Human Resources strategy of the company, which includes:
- Overseeing processes and policies to ensure that the organisation is a fair, equal, and safe place to work for all employees
- Providing strategic advice, guidance, and leadership on all aspects of recruitment, performance management, safeguarding and employment law
- Leading on EDI relating to all employment matters and playing a key role in embedding EDI across all people-based activities
Main Duties:
Ensure all polices relating to Human Resources (including Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, Dignity at Work, and Speak Up) are regularly reviewed, embedded across the organisation
Lead on the creation and delivery of the organisations People and Human Resources Plan and the Equality Action Plan ensuring EDI is the centre of all activities
Liaise with the Senior Management Team, Trustees and colleagues to provide strategic counsel, advice and support on all people matters
Ensure EDI strategies are implemented across the organisations culture
Oversee the management of the HR team
Person Specification:
Experience –
- You should have a proven background working in a management position in a HR department
- You should have demonstrable experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders
- A true passion for EDI will be essential.
- You should show that you can lead and deliver a range of organisational development initiatives to meet organisational goals
- You have experience of coaching and providing sound counsel to a range of people in line with industry best practice and employment law
- You have previously dealt with cultural organisational change within an organisation
Skills and Knowledge –
You should have:
A thorough understanding and knowledge of employment legislation, GDPR and HR best practice
Detailed knowledge of best practice approaches to people management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or equivalent
