Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor/ HR Business Partner will provide high-level, non-routine operational advice and assistance to services and departments across a full range of HR issues. Ensuring that the people needs of the business are understood and to support the design and development of fit for purpose people solutions in accordance with the HR strategy and business plan.

Description

  • Partner with managers on the resolution and management of a wide range of HR issues in order to ensure that processes are followed accurately to minimise the risk of litigation.
  • Develop, review and implement policy and procedures and provide an effective and responsive advisory and support service on all aspects of Policy, Terms and Conditions and Employment Legislation.
  • To provide guidance and practical support to managers on disciplinary, capability, performance and grievance procedures.
  • Provide clear, consistent, relevant and timely human resources advice, guidance and support to business partner areas on recruitment and to advise managers in developing solutions to problems including administration, interviewing and assessment testing where required.
  • Support managers develop job descriptions
  • Liaise with Recruitment Agencies to source suitable candidates and negotiate rates
  • Advise and support individual managers to reduce sickness absence and put in place support mechanisms to expedite the timely return of staff to work.
  • Liaise with Occupational Health to help support managers with managing absence.

Profile

  • CIPD Qualified or similar qualification
  • A minimum of five years' experience in an generalist HR role
  • The ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
  • Proven knowledge of employee relations and employment law
  • Fantastic communication and influencing skills
