Client Details

Global FTSE 250 business services organisation


The aim of this organisation is to become carbon net zero within five years and to positively change the lives of engaged communities. In this role you will drive best practice in sustainability, focusing on environmental, ESG governance and reporting. You will help build the picture, articulate the journey, and shape tomorrow's story.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and managing a governance framework for social impact initiatives
  • Driving regional and local engagement on social impact initiatives
  • Providing guidance on UN SDGs and social sustainability matters
  • Driving best practice on social sustainability for inclusion in reports, questionnaires, webpages, social media and for and on behalf of management
  • Business partnering with HR, Marketing and recruitment consultants as a SME on social sustainability, social impact and charitable initiatives
  • Business partnering with key account managers on tender documentation & meet clients
  • Investigating and, subject to plc Board approval, establishing a charitable foundation
  • Assisting with the wider sustainability team as necessary
  • Maintaining and updating of the sustainability procedures


In order to be considered you must have demonstrable experience of the following:

* Min five years' work experience with an impressive academic background, ideally in Sustainability, HR or Marketing
* Strong interest in sustainability and is keen to pursue a career in this new and evolving profession
* Customer centric attitude
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Highly organised; can work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* An ability to follow instructions accurately and produce neat work
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to assist colleagues in busy times
* Operates with a commercial mindset.

Job Offer

£70-80k dependant on experience (plus car allowance)
