Payroll & Benefits Officer
Salary: £23,000- £27,000
Location: Manchester/Remote

We are delighted to be again assisting this global law firm with their search this time for a Payroll & Benefits Officer.

As an experienced Payroll & Benefits Officer, you will support in the delivery of Payroll to all employees of the business through the delivery of an effective, efficient and client-focused Payroll service.

Strong Excel skills are essential for this role as is the ability to engage and develop relationships with internal stakeholders.

You will have full overall responsibility for:

The delivery of an effective Payroll Service, ensuring company policies, procedures and best practice are followed
All control, exception reports and reconciliations are thoroughly checked within agreed deadlines, correcting errors, updating systems and carrying out regular checks as appropriate
All data is processed accurately and promptly with validation
Liaise with our payroll providers on a regular basis to ensure they are kept abreast of any changes
Liaison with payroll partners ensuring accurate processing of the UK and International payrolls
Calculating and processing maternity/paternity/adoption pay and supporting the process where needed
Accurate payroll administration of Company benefits scheme and Pensions
A high quality customer service is provided to both internal and external customers
Assist with administration of P11ds and End of Year processes



Key skills, experience & attributes;

At least a minimum of 2 years' experience in a payroll environment
A good knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, Taxable Benefits and Auto Enrolment
An understanding of HMRC reconciliations
Self-motivated, flexible and demonstrating strong evidence of a collaborative working style
Strong Excel skills
Some knowledge of international payrolls would be advantageous but is not essential.
Detailed conscious self-starter, who takes ownership of tasks and is proactive in your approach.
Dynamic and passionate individual with Payroll experience gained within a busy and fast-paced environment
