Learning and Development Manager

FinTech

Central London

£70,000 - £80,000

A new role has become available at a scaling FinTech business based in Central London. Due to growth, they are now looking to hire an experienced L&D Manager to build and drive the business forward. The Learning and Development Manager will work closely with the HR director to help the business advance their skills and knowledge, through the development and implementation of learning strategies and programmes. The role will involve the design and deployment of e-learning courses, career plans and workshops. It will also be responsible for maintaining budgets and relationships with vendors and consultants, and will be involved in succession planning and talent management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluating individual and organisational learning and development needs
  • Implementing various learning methods company-wide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
  • Designing and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other learning events
  • Assessing the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Helping managers develop their team members through career pathing
  • Tracking budgets and negotiating learning contracts
  • Hiring and overseeing training and L&D specialists

Key experience/skills:

  • Proven experience as an L&D Manager working within the Technology and/or FinTech sector
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience in project management and budgeting
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
  • Ideally a professional L&D certification (e.g. CIPD)
