Senior HR Advisor

Were seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join busy team providing HR & ER advice to schools.


We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Advisor with a solid background of ER case work to join a busy team initially on a temporary basis either full time or will consider 3 or 4 days per week for an experienced professional.

Key tasks

• Provide a professional high-quality HR provision, delivering general HR advice, guidance and solutions on a broad range of human resource issues, interpreting and advising on employee relations, including complex cases, terms and conditions policies and procedures and employment legislation in line with policy and procedures. This will include ensuring investigations are carried out robustly and timely, and when appropriate, supporting academies at formal meetings. Discretion will be required when advising on appropriate outcomes for which critical judgement is required.
• You will be handling a range of cases for 10 - 15 at a time mix of level of complexity
• Prepare contracts of employment and terms and conditions, taking into consideration transfers under TUPE, collective agreements, contractual clauses and current case law
• Prepare and review job profiles, advise on the content of job profiles and support the evaluation.

Candidates
CIPD Qualified ideally level 5 or level 7
ER Case work experienced - grievance, disciplinary, performance, dismissal, sickness, absence, safeguarding
Ideally experienced within unionised environments and complex sensitive/regulated environments such as schools, Local Authority, care or similar.

This role is initially a temporary assignment working via Hays. Options for 3, 4 or 5 days per week available based on site in Bognor.

upto 3 months temporary assignment but will also potentially look at a permanent appointment as well for the right person.
