Are you excited by a greenfield strategic HR role in one of the region's key employers? Are you motivated to create new colleague experiences and accelerate a solid ED&I agenda in an organisation which has engaged colleagues who together punch above their weight in service of their members? If so, then read on.

Our retained client is a well-known and well-loved financial services business with a membership of over 750,000, total assets over £20bn and around 1,475 colleagues based across the whole of the UK. It is a modern, member-owned mutual, backed by 146 years of heritage.

Putting its members at the heart of its long-term business priorities, this means balancing strong financial performance with unrivalled customer experience, in a well-controlled, risk managed environment which provides exemplary opportunities for personal growth for an ambitious workforce.

It's a friendly, community focused, values and purpose-led organisation. Today it's focusing on building future talent and capability, transforming the way it does business in response to its customers rapidly changing needs and demographics by building a collaborative and flexible workforce.

We're delighted to be helping them hire the newly created role of Head of Colleague Proposition and Inclusion.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal leadership role, providing strategic support to the Director of People, and have succession potential for their role. The essence of the opportunity is to shape, develop and implement a wide range of strategies which create a great colleague experience balanced with commercial imperatives.

Working closely with the Head of Learning, Head of HR, Talent Lead and Heads of Functions, you will develop targeted, high-impact engagement, ED&I, recognition and well-being strategies to support the attraction, development and retention of talent throughout the entire colleague life cycle reflecting the Society's diverse customer base. You will help shape and extend the employer brand and its reach and, through your experience, insight and collaboration, will develop a purposeful, sustainable and attractive colleague value proposition.

You will bring significant, broad HR experience, ideally from customer centric organisations, giving you a deep understanding of how modern approaches to engagement, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and recognition can improve colleague experience and create organisational value.

You well be networked in this space with like-minded practitioners, have significant experience of influencing internal stakeholders and have a passion for knowledge and innovation, developing new approaches to reflect modern ways of working.

From a personal perspective, we're looking for a self-confident, persuasive, collaborative team leader, someone who is used to working with ambiguity and at pace. You will have the gravitas and credibility to be quickly valued by the senior leadership team.

As would be expected in a financial services business such as this, all members of the HR leadership team will need to be comfortable with the in-depth data analysis and insight to inform decisions and planning.

The organisation has recently moved to an attractive new Head Office site in Leeds which has fantastic collaborative space for working with your team and stakeholders c3 days pw on average.

This really is a rare greenfield opportunity, with fabulous opportunities for career progression for outstanding candidates and if it sounds like the challenge you're looking for, then we'd be delighted to hear from you.
