HR Business Partner

Location: Tomlinscote School, Frimley

Closing Date: 9am on Thursday 14 October 2021

Salary: £46,368 - £54,176

The Prospect Trust is a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with an aim of providing outstanding education for all learners within a family of local academies. There are currently three academies within the Trust: The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School.

The Trust has already created a number of centralised functions to support the delivery of outstanding education, including HR, Finance & payroll, Estates & facilities and Careers guidance.  This is an exciting time for an experienced HR Business leader to join our team and work in partnership with the senior leadership teams at Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School to improve performance and implement Trust people strategies and initiatives,

You will provide HR advice and guidance on a wide range of activities, including but not limited to: Safeguarding & safer recruitment, workforce planning, recruitment & selection, employee relations, performance management, reward & recognition, staff development, health & wellbeing, change management, policy management, employee engagement and equality & diversity.

Working in collaboration with the respective Principal and wider leadership team at each Academy you will proactively identify and resolve any people capacity or capability issues that inhibit performance and student achievement, whilst coaching leaders to resolve any issues.

To be effective within the role you will need to be able to demonstrate extensive and proven experience of resolving complex HR matters and have experience of engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders to improve people performance.

This role will work in collaboration with the HR Director and other Academy HR Business Partners to design and implement Trust wide people initiatives. There is some line management required within this role as an HR Advisor, HR Compliance Officer, HR Analyst and team of HR Assistants provide support within the wider HR team.

This is an exciting, rewarding and varied role, but you will need to enjoy a fast-paced challenge at a time of change for our team. Proven HR leadership experience is essential and whilst a Level 7 CIPD qualification would be an advantage, the Trust would consider sponsoring the successful candidate to achieve or further their current qualification status. The Trust will provide extensive training on internal management information systems and will coach you to understand the complexities of the education sector, so candidates from all sectors that believe that they have the required skills & values are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 37 hours per week and the demands of this role do not facilitate a term-time only work pattern. The primary work location is Tomlinscote School, however travel to the Trust headquarters and other academies will be required on a regular basis.

If you would like to have a further discussion before applying for this role please contact Becky Young (HR Director) on 07864 967648

For full details and information on how to apply are available on our website at www.tomlinscoteschool.com, 'About Us', 'Vacancies'.

Please complete the application form & equality monitoring form and email all applications to rebecca.young@prospecttrust.org.uk by 9am on Thursday 14 October 2021.

Early applications are encouraged, as the Trust may at its discretion elect to both interview and select candidates before the advertised closing date.
