We have a great opportunity for an experienced HR Manager. This is initially a contract role with the view of becoming permanent in the future. The role is with a well-regarded housing association - charity. In this role you will use your knowledge and experience of the full employee lifecycle to support the HR function across the business within a heavily unionised environment.
The role responsibilities will include:
- Build relationships and provide HR support and guidance to directors, senior and middle managers
- Supervise the disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, performance management and TUPE processes
- Prepare recruitment material, supervise the recruitment, selection, and interviewing process
- Advising on the Company HR policies and procedures
- Taking a leading role in training and development
- Monitoring sickness absence and other key HR performance indicators, and produce suitable reports for senior management
- Prepare reports for the Personnel Subcommittee and attending meetings
- Supervising one employee
- Various project work such as: salary reviews and benchmarking, policy reviews, contract reviews, and reviewing the recruitment process
The person:
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent would be an advantage
- Experience at HR Manager level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of key ER processes such as disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, performance management
- Experience of employment tribunals, ET1's
