Salary c £60000 plus generous benefits.

You will be the site HR Lead, partnering with the two GMs (operations and commercial) and have full site responsibility for the People Plan.  Operating as part of the leadership team, you will ensure the People agenda is firmly rooted in growth plans and strategies across the business. You will create site specific plans to drive the necessary culture and capability to deliver the business goals.

You will:

  • Support General Managers and their leadership team to develop and implement a people strategy focusing on performance, capability and employee engagement
  • Take ownership of Employee Relations agenda, coaching and supporting line managers within a best practice framework. This will ensure consistency and compliance and build confidence within the line manager community to take ownership for their own part of the people agenda. 
  • Plan and implement key change projects - coaching as well as supporting key stakeholders across multifunctional teams
  • Develop a talent strategy delivering succession needs for the future and ensuring key development for individuals within the business
  • Translate then implement global and group strategy into relevant local workstreams.

This is a newly evolved role within the organisation and as such an opportunity to really create a legacy. Reporting directly into the General Manager, Operations, you will be confident in making and executing your own decisions. You will give guidance and support to a diverse leadership team - you will need to engage quickly, build rapport and establish key working relationships.  Ideally you will have experience within an Unionised food manufacturing environment.
