HR Business Partner

Financial Publishing

Central London

£80,000 - £90,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a Financial Publishing business in Central London. Due to growth across the business, they are looking for an experience HR Business Partner to join them. This role will play a key part in delivering people initiatives to support the business strategy, as well as leading the business through change.

Reporting into the CHRO, this role will be accountable for delivering the People Plan across the UK team.

Key duties/responsibilities:

  • Deliver and execute the overall people plan for the UK business
  • Work with the business to understand key people and organisational requirements, particularly relating to people capability, organisational design and culture and feed this into the global HR people plan
  • Work with business managers to develop succession plans, development, training and retention initiatives.
  • HR Metrics - providing insight reports and analysis of essential HR data to line management. Will identify trends and recommend programs and/or improvements as necessary.
  • Act as a Business Partner, role modelling positive behaviours and contributing to the development of the division.
  • Coach management on how to drive the effectiveness of their organisation and the performance of their people
  • Work with the business in managing organisational changes, redundancy processes, M&A, change and implementation planning where required
  • Delivery (and sometimes design) of key HR projects and initiatives
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with employees at all levels
  • Act as a trusted thought partner for the business on internal policies, career guidance and performance management
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues including, conducting investigations, maintain accurate and complete documentation of employee counselling/investigations

Key skills/experience:

  • Experience of working as a HR business partner at a managerial level in a fast-moving environment
  • Track record of understanding key drivers in a business area and working in partnership to measurably improve people management practices
  • Experience of successfully influencing stakeholders by creating shared understanding and agreement
  • Change leadership- has experience of facilitating people change
  • Experience in coaching leaders and managers to bring out their best in their teams to strive for continuous improvement
  • Has worked in a commercial business environment and understands the commercial drivers and pressures that dictate the pace and decision-making process - acts as a role model to encourage a collaborative and inclusive approach to how the team functions
  • Experience of implementing new ways of working within a business area
  • Experience of working with matrixed central functions (e.g., Rewards, Operations)
  • Excellent networking and stakeholder engagement skills
