Do you have proven experience of working in HR and payroll and looking for a new and exciting role with an internationally recognised law firm based in Central London?


Ashley Kate are pleased to be to be supporting an internationally recognised law firm as they look to recruit a full time permanent HR and Payroll Officer. This is a great opportunity for someone with proven experience in both payroll and HR.


Salary up to £38k.


About the role

  • As part of this role, you will be expected to work closely with the HR Team in providing guidance and advice to staff on matters of employment legislation, employee relations, policies and answering day to day employee related queries.
  • You will be assisting the HR Managers in building relationships with members of the companies practice areas and manage the monthly payroll process.
  • Assist with annual salary and bonus reviews including collation of market data and benchmarking analysis
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date on the portal in line with current legislation
  • Oversee the collation of monthly payroll information; in relation to new starters, leavers (holiday pay and benefit adjustments), variable payroll data monthly (overtime, absence, flexible benefits etc.)
  • Process the monthly outsourced payroll (using ADP) for authorisation in advance of the BACS payment deadline and ensuring that the monthly Third-Party Payments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for overseeing the collation of monthly Partner payroll information to be processed internally by our Finance Department


HR and Payroll Officer - About you

  • Have proven experience working in HR as a generalist and have an interest and exposure to Payroll.
  • Previous experience of using Data Processing Systems.
  • You will have attention to detail, trustworthy and be committed to client care
  • Supervisory or management experience will be beneficial
  • Proven experience working on internal projects to support continuous improvement.
  • Ideally has worked within a legal / professional services
