Morgan Philips are delighted to be working exclusively with a great client in London to hire a Head of People (12 month FTC, maternity cover) to lead and manage all aspects of HR, supporting the CEO/CI in the strategic development, culture change and organisational design. The role will pay up to £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and will start immediately. As Head of People you will be both a strategic thinker and resilient operational manager who can successfully lead and manage all aspects of HR for the business including effective employment practice and policy development, permanent and contractor recruitment and training and employment law advice. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this role will support the organisation cross-functionally on all people-related matters, policies and initiatives.

They are eager for you to bring creativity, energy and commitment to the team to introduce new initiatives and ideas that will have a positive impact on the success of the business. You will be dedicated and motivated with a high level of credibility and skills to drive the implementation of the people strategy, to improve performance and the development of our people to reach their full potential. The role will involve ensuring successful delivery and development of the HR and Business Support Team, developing and supporting their people throughout the whole employee lifecycle, leading and coaching across operational functions, strengthening overall organisational development and organisational engagement and managing and embedding organisational change, performance and development ensuring alignment of structures, skills, values and positive behaviors. You will also lead the design of the overall recruitment strategy of both permanent and contractor recruitment and manage the development of people policies and procedures. The role will work closely with the CEO/CI and COO, particularly on the strategic development of a ‘high performance organisation’.
The successful candidate will be MCIPD or equivalent (CIPD Level 7 is desirable) with experience in designing and embedding a HR strategy, leading on culture change and organisational design initiatives, resolving ER cases and having knowledge of the education sector is desirable. You will have extensive experience in and practice of key employment policies such as ER, Recruitment, Training & Development and should have the ability to articulate and demonstrate a strong customer focused ethos and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management.
