The HR Business Partner will join a Global HR team, and will support the delivery of the HR strategy through the effective development and implementation of a successful people and culture plan to drive business performance and influence a positive employee experience.

My client is a leading Commercial business based in Newcastle upon Tyne.


Key responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the global HR strategy through the development of successful people plans
  • Influence company culture and promote a world-class employee experience
  • Be a trusted strategic partner for business leaders, through a hands-on and strategic approach
  • Lead on the employee engagement strategy
  • Drive talent and succession planning initiatives
  • Lead on organisational design projects, including implementing business unit structures and accountabilities
  • Partner with global managers and employees to promote effective working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity
  • Ensure a fantastic employee experience at every point in the employment journey
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, as well as Executive and Senior Leadership teams
  • Provide expert advice and support to people managers on a global level, on all ER and HR-related issues
  • Provide guidance on change management, including department reorganisations, leadership changes and role restructuring
  • Support the Talent team and people managers to engage with employees on performance reviews, career conversations and succession planning initiatives
  • Lead on all employee relations issues, including disciplinary hearings, grievances, absence, and capability issues, ensuring consistency across the organisation


Candidate profile:

  • CIPD qualification
  • Experience of working in a Senior HR Business Partnering role
  • Experience of working on a Global level
  • Hands-on, operational HR experience is essential
  • Ability to influence and lead on HR strategy
  • Decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
