The Resource Manager manages all aspects of resourcing to achieve business goals, whilst balancing client project requirements and career aspirations of each team member. This role requires a proactive self-starter who can analyse data to inform key decisions around overall capacity, hiring and succession planning, improve processes and be a support function for the team alongside HR.

Description

● Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver resourcing and strategic requirements

● Operate a commercial mind-set and use business knowledge to find the right balance between business vs. team needs ● Support teams across multiple locations and time zones, allocating work fairly and consistently

● Utilise current tools to forecast and track project data to inform capacity including; upcoming projects, project closes, holiday cover and provide reports to Practice Leads.

● Understand your internal clients; be a trusted advisor who provides neutral and pragmatic advice around resource management

● Proactively liaise with team to understand requirements, have a pulse for team sentiment and report back to key stakeholders

● Coach and support the teams on their capacity requirements and/ or concerns

● Identify opportunities for further team training and development

● Use a data-driven approach to problem solving and providing solutions to difficult resourcing requirements

● Develop scalable tools and processes and continuously seek to improve them

● Respond to resourcing requests within 24 hours and update appropriate systems and trackers

Profile

● Prior experience in a resource management or workforce planning role required

● Prior experience in a professional services firm or similar preferred

● Motivated by data-driven processes that have a positive impact on business growth and performance

● Innovative thinker; comfortable with change

● Ability to handle competing demands calmly

● Comfortable with challenge; resilient to push-back; good conflict resolution skills

● Excellent problem-solver; exercises good judgement on when to escalate issues

● High EQ, ability to understand and lean into differing emotions

● Highly organised and efficient worker

● Excellent time-management with the ability to work to tight deadlines

● Attentive listener ● Trusted advisor, proficient collaborator and positive attitude

● Proactive and results orientated

● Analytical and proficient with data; experience with Excel

● Willing to take initiative and work independently
