The HR Business Partner is a true generalist role providing agile support to Sales, Business Support and Managed Services within the business. This is a new role and will give you a varied workload of both strategic and operational elements to focus on. It will include a transformation project as well as some key harmonisation work. ​You will have a strong HRBP background with a broad range of Generalist experience including change and restructures.

Description

The HR Business Partner role in Slough is a true generalist role providing agile and commercially minded support to the functional areas of Sales, Business Support and Managed Services within the UK&I business (UK, Channel Islands & Ireland).

This position is a new to the team due to the recent creation of the UK&I region and the centralisation of the function so you will have a key role in helping to shape how HR is delivered across the region working under a people agenda that has a significant amount of buy-in from the top. You'll roll your sleeves up to get involved, influence and get things done and you will be agile in your approach to priorities and dealing with stakeholders.

Key duties will include:

  • Balance a broad role, operating across a range of different activities, including everyday HR operations, employee engagement, performance management, wellbeing, employee relations, talent management, salary reviews.
  • Build strong partnerships with management of your client areas to drive business growth, build capabilities and improve employee engagement.
  • Manage end-to-end restructuring and reorganisation work within your client areas.
  • Establish strong partnerships with Sales leaders to develop high-performance sales teams through recruitment, talent management and performance management activities plus, in time, acting as a confidante, coach, and constructive challenger.
  • Complete harmonisation activities to align UK, Ireland & Channel Island businesses from an employee experience and internal-function perspective.
  • Develop a career-minded environment by applying the newly introduced career and talent framework and supporting managers to develop the careers of individuals. Leverage the offerings produced by the Talent Manager to ensure that engaging career development plans are developed and implemented for employees.
  • Embed an HR operating model that encourages HR time to be focused on value-add activities supporting employees to access the HR support from the right places and promotes, and encourages self-service.
  • Have full oversight and independently manage all ER issues, developing junior team members to assist and deliver activity.
  • Have full oversight of the completion of HR lifecycle processes for your client base.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the UK&I HR Team alongside a second regional HR BP, Payroll & HRIS Manager, Talent Manager and Administrators sharing knowledge and expertise and workload, when required. May include line management responsibilities.
  • Support the delivery of the HR Strategy by working on key people initiatives and programmes.

The role is contractually based out of Slough and offers strong home-working opportunities (4 days per week).

For a period of time, you will be required to be in the Slough office more frequently as and when key projects/transformation work is underway.

Profile

To apply for the role of HR Business Partner in Slough, your profile will closely match the following:

  • Strong HR Business Partnering experience including some change and transformation work - restructure and harmonisation experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • Degree and CIPD qualified and progressive roles within HR.
  • Mixture of both small business and large, complex businesses would be ideal.
  • Experience of leveraging COE's to establish how best to work with Talent Manager.
  • Experience supporting a Sales client group would be advantageous.
  • Experience of developing junior HR personnel.
  • Comfortable working independently, through ambiguity and being 'safe pair of hands'.
  • Proven experience of working at a fast pace and balancing priorities.
  • A commercial, problem-solving mindset with intellectual curiosity.
  • Good presentation and time management skills.
