A bit about the role...

The Human Resources team is on an exciting journey of transformation and this role will provide a great opportunity to be part of an exciting strategic change programme.

Leading on the scoping/specification, implementation and successful delivery of the organisation wide ERP system from a Human Resources perspective, the role will act as a champion for HR and its cross functional ERP requirements. This will involve ensuring that needs of the HR Team are fully considered and embraced in conjunction with the requirements of the broader organisation.  

This role is critical in ensuring all aspects of the HR lifecycle are considered and that the ERP has capacity to enable the Agency to deliver a truly transformational HR service, whilst ensuring business as usual activity is maintained throughout the project.  

The role will involve fostering cultural and behavioural change that empowers colleagues and line managers to take accountability for their own and their teams people management therefore ensuring that colleagues have the right resource, capability and talent to achieve the strategic transformational ambitions of Homes England.  

The Assistant Director - ERP Project will continuously demonstrate strong organisational knowledge and a clear overall view of the impact of people change and initiatives.  They will play a critical, influential role in the organisational change and transformation agenda.

Dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service, this role is part of the HR senior leadership team responsible for formulation of an effective people strategy, in line with overall strategy and business objectives. Working collaboratively with key colleagues across HR and the Centres of Excellence to enhance the HR offer and ensure that the ERP project is delivered to stakeholders in the best way.

A bit about you…

You will have significant experience of significant, demonstrable experience in ERP HR project management experience gained in a medium / large complex organisation and will have been part of a team that has procured and implemented an ERP system. You will have done so by utilising your strong understanding of the challenges, processes and requirements of a modern HR function including L&OD, Recruitment, HR Advice & Guidance.

As such you will possess significant experience of HR systems and processes, particularly in relation to process improvement and optimising efficiency with a proven track record in successfully delivering complex business change programmes in time and on budget.

You will be client focused and a good listener with an ability to "explain the technical to the non-technical" with patience and empathy. A highly engaging HR professional with passion for building relationships, you will have demonstrable experience of working with colleagues at all levels with ability to clarify understanding and communicate in simple terms

You will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will be comfortable with ambiguity and regularly changing, challenging transformational priorities. You will be used to constantly looking for ways to improve and innovate the ERP offering.

You'll be comfortable supporting senior stakeholders with complex ERP requirements, aiming to bring a rigorous, risk aware and collaborative approach to ERP delivery. You will have comprehensive, demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder and project management skills.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an HR team.
