Resourcing Advisor

Location: UK excluding London & Manchester

Salary: Circa £25,000

Working Pattern: Full Time

Contract Type: Fixed Term

This role is fixed term until May 2022.  What we offer...

We understand how important life is outside of work so, as well as competitive salary and 33 days annual leave, we are totally committed to flexible working. We’ll support you, wherever possible, so that you don’t miss out on what truly matters to you.

If you do ever need a little bit of extra help we have a great employee assistance programme, financial well-being support and access to loads of great discounts with leading high street names.

Our range of network groups are also there to support you to truly be yourself at work and play a key role in helping shape our future.

If you are a member of a professional body we’ll pay for your membership and once you get your top of the range digital kit you’ll be good to go in one of our great offices (or at home!).

A bit about the role...

Working in a team with Victoria our Talent Acquisition Partner, the Resourcing Advisor will play a critical role in working with our customers and stakeholders to provide a first-class resourcing service. Working in collaboration with specific business areas you will advise, coach and guide hiring managers on the resourcing process.

You will be joining our enthusiastic team of experienced resourcing professionals who are committed to making a real positive change in how we recruit across the agency and truly add value.

Victoria is dedicated to delivering a first-class, efficient resourcing experience for both candidates and hiring managers and as such is looking for innovative and creative approach to day to day resourcing issues and opportunities.

This is a rare chance to shape the future of resourcing in a fast growing, national organisation and we are on a real journey to transform our service whilst delivering a great day to day service to our candidates and managers. We are committed to changing the housing market for good and we are looking for people who share our values to help us do that. Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy and we work in an ever-changing environment but the rewards make it all worthwhile.

 A bit about you…

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders on their resourcing journey, you will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

You will have experience of supporting managers to deliver great resourcing outcomes, and  ideally have experience of using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferably in an ‘in-house’ recruitment or HR environment.

You will have a demonstrable proven track record of coordinating and delivering a range of recruitment campaigns within policy and to tight deadlines. This will be supported by your experience and up to date knowledge of recruitment best practice and employment legislation and applying these in a business context.

You'll be comfortable in collaborating with hiring managers to achieve the best outcomes and dealing with roles that are, potentially, challenging to fill. Your experience in advising on job descriptions and adverts will be essential to do so.

You will have a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a Resourcing team and an understanding that diversity and inclusion should be at the heart of everything we do.

Who are we?

We are the Government’s national housing agency. Our role is to accelerate the pace of house-building across the country, particularly in areas where there are the most serious affordability issues – meaning people are struggling to find homes.

We have the appetite, influence, expertise and resources to drive positive market change and meet the Government’s ambition to deliver 300,000 new homes a year. We are using our land, influence, funds and knowledge to increase the pace, scale and quality of new homes accelerating delivery in areas of greatest demand and helping create great places to live. Within the next few years, we will have invested over £27 billion across our programmes. To deliver against these aims we’re building a different kind of public service - join us to help make this happen.

We would encourage all applicants to apply as soon as possible as we may close vacancies early should we receive a high number of applications. We also encourage you to apply using the full application option as opposed to quick apply, this is especially important if you would like to indicate to us that you would like to be considered under the disability confident scheme.

Homes England are a geographically diverse community. We are all working from home at the moment and so our new colleagues can be based almost anywhere providing that their commute to their relevant base office is reasonable when we come back together. Colleague well-being is our top priority.

Please note that Homes England are currently consulting on a pay and grading review. We will share information with candidates about the outcome of this review and any impact that this may have on this role throughout the recruitment process.
