This role will include managing the Learning and Development function to ensure staff are developed to support the current and future capability needs of the business.

This renowned organisation are pioneers of the use of new technologies on satellite products and services. They are based in Guildford with 300 employees and are looking for a L&D / Early Careers Programme Advisor to support their growing company.

L&D Advisor (Early Careers): Flex on hours, full-time or part-time, remote + office working, 32days holiday + BH and bonus scheme, medical cover, pension etc.

Your key responsibilities as an Early Careers Programme Advisor in Guildford will include:

  • Collaborate with the Head of HR to develop and implement an annual L&D strategy, which enhances the knowledge, skills and behaviours of employees to improve employee performance, enable progression and meet organisational goals
  • Responsible for Early Careers programmes; continually develop graduates and apprentices through a structured programme ensuring future talent is developed and retained
  • Review the quality, impact and effectiveness of all L&D initiatives to ensure interventions and external providers are fit for purpose
  • Design L&D programmes to meet development needs across the business
  • Source and identify external providers and maintain the preferred suppliers list (supported by HR Assistant) to deliver required training to appropriate standards and managing ongoing relationships
  • Collaborate with the Head of HR to develop and maintain a skills & performance framework to ensure that all performance development reviews are consistent across the organisation
  • Collaborate with the Head of HR and Managers to identify and evaluate training needs at a grade, team and organisational level through development pathways, in line with the Career Development Framework and Mind-sets & Behaviours Competences.

Profile

L&D Advisor (Early Careers): Flex on hours, full-time or part-time, remote + office working, 32days holiday + BH and bonus scheme, medical cover, pension etc.

The successful Early Careers Programme Advisor in Guildford will have:

  • CIPD qualified or part qualified in Learning & Development
  • Coaching qualification or Professional certification (MBTI, Insights) desirable
  • Proven experience of working in a generalist learning and development role
  • Solid experience of designing and delivering learning and development programs, which include a variety of training solutions to address talent management, leadership development and soft skills training
  • Previous experience within a busy & dynamic organisation
  • Experience in a high tech organisation preferred but not essential
